Level up, Australian Idol.

I never expect competitors in such a competition will give really nice songs besides those popular ones by Mariah, Celine, Delta, Robin and so on in the show. Lauren, the girl who always sing Jazz, was unrelentingly voted off by those bad-taste (just my personal opinion, not intend to offend you if you didn't vote her) voters.

But today, occasionally, Emily, really impressed me by her nice performance of Bohemian Rhapsody, which is originally from Queen.

The song is definitely not a popular one and not many people have even known this post-modern opera. Emily did a great job, I'd like to send my best wishes here and I do hope the public will appreciate it.

I said occasionally... as that was the only song I heard.... I didn't know it was the theme...

Well, it's still an improvement for the show. I am not saying popular songs are not good, but at least to me the show will be much better if it has music from different areas. I personally felt the show three or four weeks ago was very boring since there were totally 12 singers, but 3 "mariah carey", 2 "celine dion" and 1 "withney huston". They didn't even try Madonna...lol

I always try to seek a balance between the public interest and my own interest. For the Australian Idol, the best joint-point was 2 years ago, Rebecca, a very Tori-style girl with amazing voice, entered the top 6.

Anyway, it's competition of popular singer, so... no point to expect too much. :-P
